Tobeco Tobh Atty V3 Clone RDA Review

Today we have a awesome clone of the Tobh Atty by Tobeco. I opted for the copper version to match my mech mod (which I will also be reviewing) but this RDA also comes in Black and Stainless steel. There are two sizes, 22mm or 28.5mm.

Right out of the box this RDA is very clean. There is almost no machine oil to be found. It comes with extra o-rings, a small amount of A-1 Kanthal(not sure what gauge) and a small section of silica wick. Throw out this wick as it is not a very healthy thing to be vaping on!

The deck and negative posts are machined out of a solid piece of 303 stainless steel. This makes the posts rock solid and they will not move or turn ever. There are three posts in this RDA, and the holes are quite large allowing multiple coil builds and large gauge wire. The screw threads are a bit gritty but this can be fixed with a quick wash to remove any shavings. The juice well on the deck is very deep, allowing large, long hits and not having to drip often. The middle post is insulated with a high temp PEEK ring. This is very good so you can safely dryburn your coils without melting the insulator. The bottom has an adjustable copper 510 pin and the threads are buttery smooth.

The body is machined out of solid copper with three 1/16 inch airholes spaced horizontally to allow for improved airflow across your coils. This rotates allowing the airflow to be adjusted. The logo is laser engraved on the front so it will not rub off with use.

The top cap is very unique. It is machined from a solid piece of copper and features large heat sink fins near the top. This is great as it keeps your vape experience cool and allows for long hits without overheating. The inside is machined into a cone for improved airflow and taste.

This thing is a dream to build in. The large amount of room and large holes in the posts makes fitting almost any build very easy.

Overall this RDA is a very good choice for someone with a larger mod and wanting a excellent RDA but not wanting to pay alot.

Pros
  • Cheap.
  • Very solid construction.
  • Easy to build in.
  • Deep juice well.
  • Adjustable airflow.
Cons
  • Very large, may be to much for some people.
  • Gritty post screws.

A very good RDA, we rate this at a 97-100

KangerTech Areotank Turbo Tank Review

Today were going to take a look at the Aerotank Turbo made by KangerTech. This was the second tank I have bought from Kanger and I am quite liking it.

First thing that strikes you is the size, this thing is massive. Standing 78mm tall and 30mm in circumference, this tank will not fit right with some mods. This also affects the portability of this device, as it is very large and quite heavy. This being said the size comes with some advantages, including a 6ml replaceable pyrex juice tank. This very much suits my vaping style as I hit this thing constantly and I hate having to refill my tank every few hours. The whole unit is made of food grade stainless steel and completely disassembles for cleaning and repair. Maintenance is quite easy with just a quick rinse with each coil change. However, the ring that connects the tank to the base can sometimes get stuck, making it a major pain to refill. The device has an adjustable 510 connection and will fit on most 33mm devices. You can also swap out the drip tip for your own 510 drip tips.

This device has quite large adjustable airflow valve which allows large clouds that are rather surprising for a tank device.  Airflow on full bore is comparable to a high quality RDA, which rather surprised me.

Now lets talk coils. The unit is a duel coil, duel coil head tank. This means there is a total of 4 coils inside. The coils are very easy to change and unscrew directly from the deck. The tank comes with 2 coil heads installed in the unit, and 2 replacements. The coil heads included read at 1.8 ohms. These are fine on there own but we highly recommend installing 1.5 ohm coilheads for increased flavor and vapor production.

Make sure your battery or mod has enough power to get the maximum out of your vaping experience. A mod that outputs 25 watts+ is recommended.

As for tanks, this is a pure flavor tank, perfect for flavor junkies. Juice is crisp and flavorful, but nothing like an RDA. With lower resistance coils, you are able to obtain a very flavorful vape.

Pros
  • Holds a ton of juice.
  • Very good flavor.
  • Adjustable airflow.
  • Relatively low cost.
Cons
  • Very large.
  • Lower battery life due to duel coils.
  • Base-tank connection threads are not smooth, causing it to be a pain to separate and fill.
  • Low deck causing juice level to look half full when it really is not.

Overall this is a very good tank for the price, if you can handle the size. We recommend you run this on a mod that is capable of high power delivery, such as a mech mod with a 26650 battery.

We give this a score of 85-100
